At Mr Singh’s India Gate, Dunblane, our story is one of family, tradition, and a lifelong passion for great food. What you experience today is the result of nearly four decades of dedication that began back in 1986, when Mr Singh first opened his restaurant on King Street in Stirling. With a simple vision—to serve authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting—he laid the foundations for what would become a much-loved name across Central Scotland.
From those early days, Mr Singh’s was never just a restaurant. It was a place where people came together—families celebrating milestones, friends sharing meals, and regulars who quickly became part of the extended Singh family. As the years passed, the restaurant evolved, moving through different locations across the Central Belt, but always staying true to its core values: exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Developed & Refined Over Generations
At the heart of our menu are recipes that have been carefully developed and refined over generations. Alongside timeless Indian classics, you’ll find signature dishes that reflect Mr Singh’s creativity and passion for flavour. Every dish tells a story—of heritage, of innovation, and of a commitment to quality that has stood the test of time.
In 2019, following Mr Singh’s passing, the next chapter of the journey began. His sons, Raj and Jackson, took the reins, continuing the family legacy with the same pride and dedication instilled in them from a young age. Today, they carry forward not only the recipes, but also the spirit of hospitality that made their father’s restaurant so special.

Now based at our Dunblane Fourways Roundabout location, Mr Singh’s India Gate represents the evolution of everything the restaurant has stood for. It is a refined and welcoming space, perfect for both relaxed dining and special occasions, while also serving as a trusted favourite for takeaway and home delivery throughout the local community.
What truly sets us apart, however, is our connection with our customers. Many of our guests have been dining with us for decades, introducing new generations to the flavours they grew up with. That loyalty means everything to us—it’s a testament to the relationships we’ve built and the consistency we strive to maintain every single day.
